Wheatland, WY (June 17, 2009) ..Wyoming is the largest supplier of coal in the United States. The Powder River Basin contains enormous amounts of low sulphur coal that is shipped to electric power stations throughout the USA. Pictured above is the Laramie River Station (about 3 miles from our campsite) which produces about 1500 megawatts of electicity.
