Badlands, SD (June 11, 2009) ..Today we said goodbye to the Badlands. I must say that our stay was interesting even if the weather only cooperated on the first and last day. The place definitely makes you feel that you are walking on the face of the moon. The landscape is so stark. It stands as testiment to the power of the earth's wind and weather. Everywhere you look you see evidence of erosion that has occurred over countless generations. Amazing place .. now on to Mt. Rushmore.
